Bengaluru may not keep growing around the same old city areas. Karnataka is now working on a 10 to 15-year plan that aims to push jobs, housing and transport further into the Bengaluru Metropolitan Region (BMR). The plan includes nine integrated industrial townships, 312 km of additional Metro connectivity, a 210-km ring road and a proposed 270-km RRTS network.
